Nvu Tutorial 0.4 available

Nvu Tutorial version 0.4 is now available from the usual location or via software update process described in the link. Please remember this is my crappy web server so in case you get some errors try again in a few minutes.

Changes for 0.4 include better explanations for generic font-family, uploading a web page, publishing a web page, etc. For complete change log, read here.

PS: If you have any problems installing ver0.4, please comment here.

Works for me. Could have been a network problem. Please try again.

http://ghaint.no-ip.org:8942/~k2/moz/nvutut.xhtml is not working for me either, I get a 'Connection refused' message.

The server runs on my home machine. In case there are several users trying to connect, it could have refused more connections. However, checking the server logs shows me that the page has been accessed 371 times in the last week!

I installed the tutorial, but only the title page is accessible in Nvu. The page forward and backward buttons are not working. Pressing the Page Down and Page Up keys also does nothing. Please advise.

Phil, you can access the table of contents via the side bar of Help Viewer. When you open the Nvu Tutorial the side bar should be on the left. If it is not, use F9 switch to toggle its appearence.

Thanks, kds. Your tip led me to discover that the Help sidebar was minimized, with only its right frame line showing. The F9 key didn't work (because the sidebar was active, just not fully visible), but by dragging that line to the right with my mouse I was able to view the sidebar.

Hi,

I have just installed the tutorial but I only get an empty window. There is No content in The left table of contents and even after reinstalling there is no difference :(

I have heard about this problem once before. The user was not able to view the sidebar and toggling it with F9 (I think that is the shortcut) made it work. See if it works for you too.

I can see the sidebar but it is completely empty.

Having installed Nvu successfully, attempts at downloading v0.4 of the tutorial have been thwarted - I keep getting a message that the tutorial is incompatible with Firefox! I am running Firefox version 1.5.0.1

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Yes, it is incompatible with Firefox 1.5.0.1 as it is not intended to be installed as an extension on Firefox. NvuTutorial extension needs to be downloaded to your computer first (right-click on download link and choose Save Target as.. or Save Link as ..). Then use Nvu's extension manager to install the NvuTutorial extension.
